Artist's Bio

I am an artist and an art teacher, and am
passionate about both! I have been painting all
of my life, but working almost exclusively with
watercolors for the past 25 years. I am under the
spell of the magic of watercolors, finding the
diversity and surprising results of this medium to
be endlessly fascinating and exciting!
I also love to teach. I have taught art on all
levels: elementary, middle school, high school,
college, and adult. I am currently in my 38th
year of teaching in Loudoun County Public
Schools.
Another passion of mine is traveling. I was very
fortunate to have the opportunity to live and
paint in Monet's Garden several years ago and
have become a "Franco-phile"!! Combining my
love for painting, teaching, and traveling, I have
begun to organize and lead trips to France for
the love of art, for the love of the culture, and
for the love of introducing that culture to high
school students as well as adults.
I exhibit my work locally and nationally and am
a member of several arts organizations and
watercolor societies. I do work on commission.
Please feel free to contact me about any of my
work or my trips.
