In response to requests, I am planning another
art lovers trip to Paris over Spring Break this
year.  This will be even better than last year's trip
with an extra night added.  I have planned to
include the following:

--a 1/2 day city tour with a guide
--a boat ride on the Seine River at night
--a trip to Monet's Garden in Giverny
--a day spent at Versailles
--shopping on the Champs Elysee
--walking up to the bell tower at Notre Dame
--climbing the Eiffel Tower
--a picnic on the Jardin de Tuilleries
and visits to the following museums:
The Louvre (Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Niki)
L'Orangerie (Monet's waterlilies)
Musee d'Orsay (all 19th c. French art)
The Rodin Museum
etc.

We will be staying at the Hotel Chopin, which is a
beautiful, old, very French hotel right in the
middle of town within easy walking distance of
the Louvre.  We will  fly Air France and leave at
10:15 pm Thursday, April 2 (that's right....you
must attend school that day!) and return at
12:30 pm on Thursday, April 9th. You will have
to take Friday off.  You will still have time to enjoy
a few days of Spring Break.  The cost of this trip
is $2500 and includes, basically, everything
except your own individual spending money.
Breakfast will be at the hotel every day and we
will have one main meal a day (lunch or dinner).
Snacks and extras will be your responsibility, but
last year we found that breakfast and dinner was
ample.  We will be taking public transportation
everywhere, including the train ride to Giverny.
There will be free time to shop and revisit
favorite places, but most of the time you will be
with me.  I will take good care of you and teach
you how to order a meal in French and make
sure you get to try some typically French food,
such as escargots.
There is much to learn and much to love about
the French culture and French art.  If you are
interested, I will need to know by the end of
October with a refundable $100 deposit made
out to artadventures or to me, Elaine Nunnally.
I hope you'll join us!  Parents are also welcome.
